AFRICAN RESOURCES

RICH  yet so POOR..

The African continent is a vast treasure; rich not only in raw materials but also in renewable energy, water, fertile land, wildlife, flora ... and above all, its people.

Africa has 97% of global copper reserves; 60% of the diamond; 57% of the gold; 49% of platinum; and many other commodities. The continent has a significant wealth in energy resources 14% of global oil reserves.
Africa has fertile land, forests and large schools of fish. Most of these resources are under exploited or granted to foreign companies.
Despite its natural and human wealth, Africa, particularly sub-Saharan Africa is the poorest and least developed region of the planet. Many inhabitants of the continent live on less than 18 pesos a day and over 140 million are still illiterate.
As with any  continent or country .... That is the importance of EDUCATION !!
